Many people in the fantasy community were banging the drum for Riley Greene this season, and thus far he has rewarded them to the tune of a .266 batting average, 17 home runs, 53 runs, 44 RBI, and 4 stolen bases. This has made him a top 12 outfielder in both points and categories leagues. One of the metrics we use here at Swingraphs is our proprietary Vertical Bat Angle data. In simple terms, this is a measure of how flat, or not flat, a hitter’s swing is. The flatter the swing, the higher likelihood of weak contact (we’ll talk more about this with Corbin Carroll later on). Since entering the league, Greene has consistently ranked among the top players in the league in VBA while improving in this area each season. In 2022, he
